When you talk about Floyd, forget about credibility, legacy and all that stuff. Money is what counts. I'm not defending him I'm just explaining how he chooses his opponents. I don't agree with that but it is what it is. He doesn't care about the welterweight division, the ring belt or even P4P rankings (besides the #1 spot). He cares about $$$. You would think people already knew it but some just can't get that in their head.

Sure, Oscar is the biggest money fight... But that doesn't take away the fact that he is still a great fighter with a naturally bigger build than Floyd. Being a cash cow doesn't equate to being a poor fighter. On the contrary, there is a reason why a fighter is, was, or continues to be a cash cow and a big name both to the hardcore and casual boxing fans.

I just see Mayweather's last opponent as a far greater challange than Cotto's last opponent. I also see Mayweather's next opponent as a greater challange than Cotto's next opponent. Mayweather is fighting the tougher competition. That's how I see it.
I respect you Doc but that's just ludicrous. Are you saying Ricky Hatton is a far greater challenge than Shane Mosley at 147?????
Oscar is a better fighter than Margarito hands down. But at this stage of his career he's not nearly as dangerous as Margy. I like Forbes but Margarito would stop him. Who's more likely to win a decision against Floyd or Cotto? Oscar. Who's more likely to stop them? Margy because he's relentless. Oscar's power has disappeared for some reason.
