On the contrary, there is a reason why a fighter is, was, or continues to be a cash cow and a big name both to the hardcore and casual boxing fans.
I just see Mayweather's last opponent as a far greater challange than Cotto's last opponent. I also see Mayweather's next opponent as a greater challange than Cotto's next opponent. Mayweather is fighting the tougher competition. That's how I see it.

I gotta agree with Balistik, Hatton isnt as dangerous as Margarito and Floyd did handpick Ricky Hatton, because he was smaller slower less skilled and could bring plenty of money to the table.. Oscar being dangerous is Oscar's credit, the point is Floyd took it for money. I mean imagine if Ray Leonard was to come out of retirement and fight floyd, the fight could turn out to be huge in terms of money and I dont doubt pbf would take it. Oscar being good or not is beyond the danger, hes willing to take the fight because it offers enough money to make up his mind on losing, but wait, floyds not gonna lose nor does he believes he can lose this one.
Margarito is much more dangerous at this point, he has power, hes relentless and not everybody wants a fight with him once he doesnt bring money to afford your loss.
If Cotto's camp wanted too he could fight another "contender" fighter and look good once again, but hes fighting someone he doesnt have to necessarily..
Sorry Doc but I cant believe you're actually giving credit to 2008's fights floyd is picking after a year he spent chasing money. Its all business and I get it, just dont tell me hes doing it the hard way.
