Well the Everlasts are great. I just prefer the pro mex. As far as the pocket goes, I have 16oz direct from Mexico Cletos, which have that huge wide fist. The Pro Mex's are indeed much smaller. Fist makeability is probably slightly easier on the everlast but I feel the leather is softer, its very similar to Reyes leather, on the Pro Mex.
Oh the reason your GELs are still backordered, is because you probably ordered the velcro strap ones. I would have ordered one of those (since I just ordered a 12oz lace up pair to compare to my winnings) but since they were backordered I went with laces.
