i feel hopkins is a master of fighting south paws, and also he is a master of controlling a fight. i don't think he could have fought any better. i mean a knock down and pretty much 50/50 fight. as for calzaghe, i feel he can deal with roy's style more. roy has super fast hands, but he doesn't sustain it. he seems to only throw very few punches at a time now. he can get the first 1 or two punches really fast as always, but i feel if he punches any more, he will get tired and slower. this is where i feel roy can lose it, since calzaghe is always a fighter to not tire at the 12th, while others do. this is where he gets the rounds. then again i also have to think of their ages, will calzaghe workrate be too much for his aging body? is roy just not going to be able to throw as much? i don't think roy will hit calz with his left, but the right hand is what i would be concerned with. the southpaw style and high right hand will block the lefts. but the right is soemthing to worry about since calz does like to stand in a funny faceward stance. someone of roy's ability will make note and bang in some rights.

if roy is goign to win, then i really don't think it will be a ud. it will have to be a ko.

if calzaghe wins, i am pretty sure it will be close, but he will edge it with his workrate. the reason why, is because hopkins isn't there to be hit, you gotta basically break through a brick wall, but roy, well he always has his hands low, and his reflexes won't cope with calzaghe's speed.
That's what most people don't realize is that RJ had a bicep injury and still threw 400+ shots and never appeared tired. I definitely think he'd throw more than B-Hop and since his punches would be more powerful than anyone he has ever faced...I think that's the what makes this fight unpredictable. Like what most people said, I think that RJ will come in at almost prime form since a motivated RJ is one of the most dangerous fighters in the sport.

I think RJ's stamina at this point is underrated, George Foreman once said that RJ can fight forever at his pace in the middle of the ring by feinting and throwing right hand leads then combinations to the body and countering from the outside.

RJ's advantages: Skill, experience, hand speed (getting punches off), strength
Cal's advantages: Ring mobility, hand speed (putting punches together), stamina, punching output, boxing mileage

And what I mean by boxing mileage is that the sport of boxing hasn't taken its toll on Cal yet. Roy's reign in various weight classes have now evaporated his legs for the most part but hopefully he can temporarily TKO father time for one last fight and show a fight for the ages and defeat Cal...
