Joe's opponents don't have to chase him because he's right there. He has good in & out and side to side movement but he doesn't circle his opponents that much and moves forward quite often. Joe can counter guys like Lacy and Kessler easily but trying to fight smart against guys like B-Hop or Roy is a whole different ballgame. What he needs to do is put pressure on Roy and throw a lot of punches so he can win most of the rounds on activity alone.
Roy will not chase Joe it's the other way around. Roy would outspeed and outsmart Joe in the center of the ring but he doesn't fight well when you put pressure on him these days and his stamina is poor that's why a busy guy like Joe is a bad matchup for him.

Money post...I agree with everything you said except RJ's stamina. I think his stamina (as well as his chin) is a bit underrated but it still doesn't stand against Cal's stamina at this stage of his career. RJ will expend energy when he knows he needs to turn it on and take time off when he can afford it. I've never seen RJ struggle with stamina other than the Tarver-I and Glen Johnson fight...
