Just because you don't chase him doesn't mean you aren't the aggressor. If Cal is coming at RJ and RJ is countering the snot out of Cal...the judges have to give it to Roy.
Haha nah you don't sound like a nuthugger but Cal can't box with RJ in the middle of the ring...plain and simple. NO ONE has been able to box with RJ in the middle of the ring...not B-Hop...not James Toney...NO ONE. Calzaghe isn't the exception. Roy simply just gets off so much quicker than Cal and everyone else. Plus the punches coming from odd angles are going to give Cal problems also. The way Cal can neutralize Roy's speed is to crowd him and pressure him and hold him...that's the only way. The tapes he needs to watch is how B-Hop fought RJ back in the day because he almost fought a perfect fight but RJ had soo much more skill over B-Hop back in the day and that's why he outpointed him. Crowd RJ or pressure him in someway or Cal will face the consequences. I agreed with most of what you said by the way.

roy will always get off quicker than joe, but i see that when people wait. joe is soemone who throws a lot of punches a round. this comes from constant jabs, which mean roy won't be the first guy to punch. when someone waits, and both punch, roy will 100% be the winner. if the jabs don't connect then the left from roy is one to watch. if calz isn't jabbing then his hands are held up very high. just by punching a lot, even not hitting is enough to unsettle people. i hear you when you say you can;t stand in the middle and outbox roy. but i also feel that joe is the best when he is being chased. he judges your movement and then comes back in and hits and runs. roy does like to let people come at him and then he gets them too, and he is the master of it, but calzaghe simply doesn't have the game to swarm jones without a ko punch. he can try, and he sure as hel does have the speed, flurries, footwork, stamina to, but i feel roy would simply be able to hit back more easily. whereas if joe was moving around in the middle around roy, then he can not get hit as often if he was swarming. i just feel if joe swarms, he can get hurt. whereas if he boxes, he is less likely to get hit. it may sound strange since roy is super fast, but then i stll feel joe can outpunch him while moving around.
