They are more top heavy than a Mexican glove. A handful of guys at my gym spar with G&S gloves. I think it's pretty much the local brand of choice in the NYC area. Doesn't hurt that it's not too expensive either. Alot of people also use Ringside, and Grants. Surprisingly, we got alot of people also using Zepol gear and have Zepol speedbags and heavy bags as well.
Speaking of Grants, I seen some sick ass red white and green pro grant gloves in the gym today. The leather felt awesome, but I wasn't able to try them on.
