First of all I would like to thank Eddie Adam and Vern Diesel for getting me into boxing, I knew a few fighters/ boxers before I met them but they got me payin attention. Go ask anybody you know to name two or three boxers in the game right now..... Easy right....De La Hoya, Mayweather Jones Jr. …Shit even Holyfield's old ass is still fighting, the point being, thats about all alot of people know, **** I don't even know. The upcoming fights that are scheduled like Ricky Hatton vs. Jose Luis Castillo, Winky Wright vs. Bernard Hopkins, Wladimir Klitschko vs. Lamon Brewster II, Fernando Vargas vs. Ricardo Mayorga and if all goes well Arturo Gatti vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and the return of Vitali Klitschko, who could complain? It got me thinkin about some fights I would like to see in the future before some of these guys get too old.:dunno:

Mike Tyson vs. Tommy Morrison

Now I know that Tyson says that he's done but lets just say if there was a chance he would fight again, which when it comes to Iron Mike you never know? This fight was supposed to happen when back in '95 Mike came back after his stint prison and fought Peter Mcneely, Buster Mathis Jr., Frank Bruno and Bruce Seldon, Tommy Morrison was next before Holyfield but he tested positive for HIV and was automatically retired from boxing but now that he is now HIV negative and both fighters are now pretty washed up it would be kinda fun to watch these two go at it. I swear it would draw money on a ppv but would be a great undercard for one of these other fights and would also bring a little more excitement to the Heavyweight division .

Arturo Gatti vs. Ricardo Mayorga

Gatti and Mayorga already have fights lined up for 2007, Mayorga is slated to fight Fernando Vargas on September 8th and Gatti has two fights one on July 14th against the young middleweight of NBC's Contender - Season One fame, Alfonso Gomez. If he wins that he will face Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (The son of mexican boxing hero, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.)on November 10th. Arturo Gatti is one of the most exciting fighters, if not the most exciting fighter in the past 10 years with one punch knockout power (usually when he's hurt or stunned in a fight). Ricardo Mayorga is also and exciting fighter with an wild, unconventional style and they say styles make the matches and these two brawling walk forward fighters going toe to toe would be a great fight to see, I think it could be a ppv for sure. These two fighters have a lot going on this year but I would love to see it in 2008.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Oscar De La Hoya II

Rematch anyone? Why not? Personally I want to see the Pretty Boy stay true to his word and stay retired so he can join Rocky Marciano as the only fighters to retire undefeated but being about his money like he is somebody's gonna come up with the money and he will fight again. Even though the first fight wasn't that exciting it would be awesome to see these two super fighters in the ring again.

James Toney vs. Roy Jones Jr. II

Heavyweight this time. Toney is still a top ranked Heavyweight but is defiantly at the end of his career and Jones Jr. isn't a very highly ranked Heavyweight but is also coming close to the end so why not have a rematch of their 1994 middleweight fight, and maybe a third, when Toney wins and splits the wins between them.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Ricky Hatton

After or instead of the De La Hoya rematch, if Mayweather keeps fighting and fighting the best, the next logical big money fight would be to fight Ricky Hatton. These two contrasting styles would make for a great match up and would be a great test for both fighters. Mayweather being a defensive genius and also a speedy offensive threat. Hatton an English mini-Mike Tyson with his non-stop pressure and relentless body attack. They both started their pro careers basically at the same time, Mayweather in 96 and Hatton in 97, they're both at the same point in their careers undefeated and dominating their divisions. Like I said I would love to see Mayweather stay retired but if not why not go over to England and fight in Hatton's home or do it in Sin city .

Mike Tyson vs. Riddick Bowe

Now like I said before, I know that Tyson has said he's finished but if he did fight again there would be money fights where Tyson would be able to fight fighters his age and his diminished skill level and some what same level of popularity such as Morrison and Bowe and all three are around 40 years old and all three are on they're way out, if not already (Tyson), but if the Baddest man on the planet was to fight Morrison and win(or fight Bowe first), why not fight another washed up Heavyweight Champ? Would Mike have enough in him to swarm Bowe take him out or is Bowe too big and long for Mike, like Kevin McBride was.

Arturo Gatti vs. Jose Luis Castillo

I just think this would be an exciting fight. Gatti and Castillo also started their careers at the same time Castillo in 90 and Gatti in 91 but Castillo has had almost 20 more fights but both are former Champs In the same weight classes (Super featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight), and like the Gatti/ Mayorga fight the walk forward style of both fighters would make for great farewell fight for both fighters.

I know most of these will never happen but its just cool to sit back and think of some of the match ups that could be and should be.......:dunno:

as would i but there are alot of problems with all those scenarios, jones isnt goign to go up to heavy again and toney will probabley never fight again because he has been suspeneded for a year. oscar wants no part of floyd because floyd wont trade with him. Mike Tyson is doen and Tommy Morrison is most likely HIV positiver still. ONce again tyson is done and risking prison time again , riddock bowe is making a slight comeback but he's no where near the level of evander holyfield anymore. Arturo gatti still may have 2 or 3 fights left in him if he traisn hard, Mayorga is always up for a fight, as with castillo, so those are the only fights i see being possible to happen but i think castillo would outbox gatti and i think mayorga would be far to strong for gatti. And gatti is one of my favorite all time fighters.

lance, gatti could box circles around castillo. JLC was never the greatest tec fighter. gatti did have some very good skill though, i just wish he'd have used it more often.

Mayweather-Hatton would be the one id be interested in watching. It would be nice if it happened in the UK, but i doubt PBF would come here to fight.. not a problem though cause Ricky is one British fighter who WILL fight in Vegas. A fight that i would be very interesting in would be MAB-Morales IV at 135.

10,000 Brits went to LV to watch Hatton-JLC, i bet it would be nearer 20,000 for a showdown with Floyd!

Even if Hatton would have lost to JLC, theres no doubt he would have fought in Vegas again. The casinos hold a lot of power with boxing in LV, and the casino profits are sky high when Hatton fights because of all the Brit fans travelling over and trying out the casinos.
