dinlo26 is a rookie! Class in session...
i can only train 4 days a week coz of work comitments advice wanted please

Hi im 26 6ft3 13 stone 180 pounds.
i have never had a bout alough i have been told by lots of clubs i would make a good boxer and have been boxing on and off for 6 years or more but i never stick at it as work gets in way i cannot train every day.The only way i can be consistant is by only training 4 days a week and i can cope with that and sustain it and my hunger for it, any more training days and i tend to find im over doing it as i work full time and just always give up the boxing after 3 months of juggling boxing and work.
I have been told by boxing trainer 3-4 months consitent training i would be ready for a bout and if not he would give up coaching lol..My straight shots jab and straight right is perfect just need bit of tweaking on combos fitness and sharpness

Regarding RUNNING, WEIGHTS, and BOXING CLUB,find it hard fitting it all in alongside my work seeing my girlfreind and daughter.
I would regret never having a bout as im getting older i always thought i would have at least 1 bout.
my aim is to have just 1 bout and take it from there, but i wanna be 100 per cent fit etc before getting in the ring as dont want excuse if i lost, alough im confident ill win
IF YOU HAD ONLY 4 EVENINGS TO TRAIN WHAT WOULD IT CONSIST?OF as i want to optimise the 4 days i do train.

ie would u go boxing club 4 times a week and not bother with gym or road running or would u mix it up.
I am thinking gym (weight) 2 times a week and go boxing club 2 times, but im not sure whats more important as i cant go gym (weights) and boxing club at same time.
Basicly i only have 4 seesions what should they consist of.
Im leaning towards boxing club 2 times a week and gym the other 2 days primarily lifting weights on gym days followed by 20 min run.Thankyou for the help

I would spar at least 1 day a week and go to the boxing club 2 times a week on top of sparring and save that last day for a run and some weights.

well done markmarang! er but like i said i can only train 4 days a week coz i work 14 hour night shifts have a daughter and missus to look after, so spar 2 times a week nd run and weights daily is gone right of the point as my question was "I CAN ONLY TRAIN 4 TIMES A WEEK COZ OF OTHER COMITTMENTS HOW SHOULD I USE THOSE 4 DAYS".If u dont like giving advice feel free to just pop into post offering no helpful advice yet only bragging of how often you train then carry on
