Bernard Hopkins is one of the people who deserve to be in the boxing hall of fame. Some of the people don't like Mathew Saad Muhammad. He has a bad record and wasn't champ very long. Hopkins on the other hand had a great record 47 wins 3 lost 1 draw and 32 Knock Outs. He had the longest middle weight title defence in history until he got robbed when he fought Taylor. Then he beat the heck out of Antonio Tarver in June of 2006. Tarver only won 1 round of 12 on two of the score cards. The other one had Hopkins winning all 12 rounds, having Hopkins winning the lightheavyweight title for his last fight. Thats why Hopkins is a true future hall of famer.

Yeah he will go in 1st year he is eligible. I believe if he doesnt fight again it will be 2011 or 12 not positive.

It will be 2011. You are eligable 5 years after your last fight. I saw an interview with him after he beat Antonio Tarver and he said he's not ging to fight again unless someone offers him $30 million straight forward.

If he retires after Winky, then it will be 2013.

Hopkins is one of my fave fighters and would really like it if he retired after he beats Winky. It would be a great end, although he really should have retired after the Tarver fight.

he didnt even make teddy atlas's all time top 10 middleweighst list. But for his accomplishments, i think he should be inducted as well. I dont care for him as a fighter at all but he deserves it. beating winky proves nothing to me though, But if winky beats hopkins it would prove nothign to me either. lol what a pointless GBP fight just say they can all make a quick buck.

Before B-hop retires and gets in the HOF I would like to see him fight the Jamaican (cruiser weight) that just lost J Mormec or J Mormec Him self. These guys can fight just as “creative” as B-Hop and I would love for B-Hop to get BTFD as a retiring gift.

I like Hopkins. IMO he should have won the middleweight title back against Taylor though. Taylor has gotten so many gift decisions...
