Week 1: Sugar Ray Leonard : Obama
I am going to be posting blogs like this from now on.
Boxer of the Week
Sugar Ray Leonard
Sugar Ray Leonard is known as the best fighter of the 1980s, considering that he entered the decade a champion and left a champion. I do not think that Leonard was the best of the 80s, but he was certainly one of the best fighters of that decade. He was great for his speed and his cleverness, and would have rose to be the best of the decade if he did not have a glass jaw.
Fight of the Week
Rocky Marciano vs. Bernie Reynolds 4/21/1952
Marciano was quick to end this fight and in the 3rd round, hit Reynolds so hard that Reynolds floated through the air far enough so that his heels and the back of his head touched the ground at the same time.
