Title 50lb bag or 70lb bag

Does anyone have either or the 50lb or 70lb heavy bag? I guess they're the same width and height 14"x42", but the 70lb bag is harder, but how much harder and how much softer is the 50lb bag? I have a 40lb MMA double end everlast bag that is 12"x30. Is real small and it's pretty soft. Mainly used for footwork and slipping as it's hung high. Then I have a 100lb Nevatear Everlast Worldwide bag that won't budge.

I guess my question is how much difference is between the 50lb bag and 70lb bag and should I just get the unfilled bag and stuff it myself? I don't want the bag to have too much swing, but I also want it to feel somewhat soft on my hands. I'm looking at the synthetic leather bags.

I like the resistance in this Title bag that pacquiao's hitting. But then again, it might have been stuffed by his gym and not Title. Does the 50lb Title bag have this much resistance or similar?

If I had to guess, and I'm going out on a limb here, I'd say the difference is oohh, about 20 pounds.

No but seriously, just make sure your bag comes as a "soft fill", otherwise stuff it your self. Dont take too much from the pacman video as you dont know how old the bag is and how loosened up it has become. He also hit like a tank, so he'll bend just about any bag out there.

What weight are you by the way? A 50 pound bag is extremely light.

I do have a TKO bag that around 65lbs thats a similar plush target. But almost every bag I use is 100lb + because I prefer it not to swing as much.

I weigh 180lbs. I like the small 40lb bag because it moves around alot forcing me to slip, weave, and use my footwork much more. Also I like how when I do combos, the bag moves a bit after the first punch the way an opponent would move forcing me to adjust my next punch to where the bag is without loosing my balance and still shifting my weight properly. Plus it's small so as it's hanging in my garage, I can do uppercuts to the bottom of the bag.

Yea, pacquiao is a small pit bull. He makes the bag look like it's filled with feathers.

The other thing you can look for is to see if the bag has a foam liner. The bags I use are mostly soft filled with a 2" foam liner. That liner provides more cushion and better hand protection, and Im thinking that is the feel that you're looking for.

Both Titleboxing.com and Ringside.com sell bags with soft fills and foam liners in a variety of finish materials that are high quality.
