S2X, welcome to the forum bro.

Try clicking the link in the very first post of this thread. Then select NY and see what gyms are close to you. Paulie Malignaggi and Zab Judah train at the Bronx Gym, so they are very reputable. Might be a long cab ride for you though.

Hey, welcome to the site chuvalo!

Here's what I found for you. First is a complete list that I could find of boxing gyms in Canada. You may find one on the list that suits you better than the handful I've posted in Toronto.

Cheers

For anyone in Minnesota, I belong to a great gym. Uppercut Gym in Minneapolis.

Uppercut Boxing Gym, Minnesota.. The trainers are great, the facility is great and we've had some good boxers come out of there.

The owner really puts the time into the place...

ok so it's been forever since i've replied about toronto gym trail. good news is that i'm enroled and working out. i went to atlas gym and bloor street boxing, the two closest gyms from my house (even though i still need to take the subway).

i went with bloor street boxing even though it's not within walking distance. it wasn't so much the ass kicking i got in the cardio class but the people around me that sintched the deal. although i found that atlas had better class and fewer people, i felt that i wasn't given time of day, by trainers or class mates.

not the case in bloor boxing. although the class didn't have as much variety it still made me want to puke, and out of just a few questions and showing intrest i happened upon some people who have shown me the ropes and seem bent on getting me into fighting shape. also a full gym concisting of free weights, machines, treamills, etc. lines the main floor for strength training.

there are still plenty of gyms that i haven't tried out, mainly due to travel, but bloor street boxing is definately worth it's salt.
