Training gloves are designed to be used also for sparring. The padding is a little different in them. They will not hold up as long as a bag glove if what your focusing on is hitting the bags only.
The hand compartment in these is a little tighter than usual for the "regular" size, but breaks in with usage. I use a regular size and I'm 6'2". My hands are a size XL for any other type of athletic glove (football or baseball) for reference. Hope that helps.

bag gloves have heavy padding and are more durable, but if you use them for sparring they will hurt the other guy because of this. Sparring gloves wont bash the other guy during sparring like bag gloves will, but wont last if you use them as bag gloves

I bought Rival Elite Bag Gloves 14oz the other day, I like them a lot

just ordered some of these gloves to try out.
been using imf tech training gloves from ringside and eventhough I love Grants, i gotta say the IMFs are the best day-to-day workhorse glove I've ever used.
I've had them over a year and they're not breaking down.
not nervous at all about sparring with them, especially considering the fact that some guys at my gym will spar with bag gloves (the small type with elastic enclosure), or gloves that are completely falling apart.

I'm hoping the title gel gloves will behave similarly.
it sure would be nice to have 2 awesome pairs to rotate between.

The only thing i'm worried about with the Title Gel gloves is how they fit.
The reason I bought them was because I finally got rid of the Twins elastic-enclosure training gloves sold on the Title website. I believe they were not real Twins, but in fact re-badged Title gloves. The biggest reason I got rid of them was because they REALLY didn't fit my fists well & gave me sore knuckles. If Title's gloves are anything like those, then I'll probably have to send them back.

I think you'll be happy with the GEL's. They're sweeet.

I have these in 14oz. They feel heavier compared to my pro everlast trainers which is also 14oz. The velcro strap may contribute in the weight differences between my 2 gloves.
