I've seen nothing that offended or upset me in any threads since the Rememberance thread to Freddie Roach's brother was totally desecrated. The staff saw nothing wrong with what happened there though & some even participated:gtfoslap:

There are no over zealous staff on FG, ICB. This sort of thing doesnt happen. If a member gets way out of line he is dealt with in the proper manner. Members are treated as adults over there, the staff are not gestapo or school monitor types like you tried to be.
Anyway talking of someone crying , have you got over not getting into the HOF that time yet??? BTW Did you see I got inducted? You & your buddies vow when you were staff members,that I'd never get inducted sorta backfired didnt it Sweet Pea & I were proud to be joint inductees

Hence the reason I posted this as a heads up to all members. So noone can say they didnt know. Noone is being harrassed. I have my reasons for being less active in posting here recently. I am still on the site daily whether I'm posting or not.

Im sorry you feel that way CJ. If you prefer it greatly over there, I would recommend spending more time there. OR, realize that these are two different forums run by different people with different expectations and requirements. Hopefully you can understand that Vertical Scope has a ceratin level of integrity they would like to be maintained on their sites. And that requires us to keep a certain level of conduct in posting. We let alot of stuff go here because I've never been a fan of censorship. But some language and some topics are best left for PM or discussion outside this site.
I had said before that we did not want it to become a "free for all" when we started taking a more hands off approach. Some things still cross the line, and in those instances we need to take the appropriate actions in issuing warnings and, possibly, infractions.

My sincere rememberance thread to Joey Roch, Freddies brother, was allowed to be disrupted & destroyed by members threatening each other & spewing obscenities at each other.It went on for 13 pages. No action was taken & in fact a couple of senior staff members actually took part in it. When Shane's sad rememberance thread was wrongly disrupted the people considered
responsible were censored & banned from using the lounge for a time immediately These unfair practices are what is wrong here. The same rules should apply to all

This was discussed and explained though already. Yes, that thread got out of control and we discussed that in the staff section. The big difference between the two is one was a direct attack on a MEMBER of this board while the other was not. Two very different circumstances. Different circumstances = different courses of action.

Because he called out a scum bag poster who made a disgusting thread about someone dying. How much farther do they have to go? The thread was disgusting and if you’re ok with that I guess its ok, you run the place.

That was a case of two members starting a pissing match with each other which got way out of hand. Both members were repremanded and the thread was closed. They sullied up the thread with their nonsense aimed at each other and it should have been closed earlier. I talked to the staff about it.
The other thread was a direct attack on amember in the passing of his family member. Unwarranted, unprovoked. And the offender was called out on it, yet he continued. Different situations. If you cant see that, than I cant help you, sorry.
