So you are saying boxing doesn't need him? You don't think that the millions of people who watched the May 5th fight gained some interest in him? All of my friends/family that watched it on TV were telling me how amazing Mayweather was when I got back from LV.
Honestly think about it. I mean this in no form of racist way whatsoever and it is sad that I must say this first but don't you think a lot of black people who don't really dig boxing saw a star in Floyd that they can relate to and will possibly follow him in the future? Don't you think a lot of younger people loved his flashiness and unrelenting cocky mouth? I do.
Floyd Mayweather is great for the sport, and I think everyone knows it but wont accept it. The more fans that are brought in the better.
