Yes and no. Broner disrespected the first weigh in. He agreed to stay at 140 in the morning but messed that up by 3 lbs too. He was eating a Twix ice cream bar post weigh in 1...

If people box, especially pro's, they will tell you that guy is a division higher than me and will kick my ass. Weight does matter, but the disrespect was even worse. The man stuck with his principles and will not be paid off. He got 30k compensation I heard so training camp covered.

Unless you actually guarantee someone millions like Mayweather or Pac, you aint doing ****.

Edit: Go to my new topic, this ones dead now since the fight is back on.


Vicente Escobedo is being offered 100,000 dollars more than Broner from what I've heard, and he still won't fight Broner. Now, I'm not respecting Broner for coming over the limit but Escobedo is ducking a lot of money. Both would probably be about the same weight tonight anyways. I'm a little frustrated that Escobedo won't fight even tho he is being offered a good amount of money to go through with the fight.

I'm not a big fan of Broner, but the kid can fight. Now that he's moving up to the lightweight division...we'll see if he can play with the big boys. And all you've seen him do is eat a candybar and displayed a pic of him with a twinkie...and now he's a junk food eater? Are you that naive? Broner apparently got paid very little, but his name is tarnished.

His name is the same to me. Boxing fans knew him already, and I don't think not making weight made his name grow outside of boxing fans. There was a lot of talk, but also quite a lot of people hate him. Let's see if they order a PPV one day before we speak on if it helped him.

I think he is a good boxer and knew he would win even without the weight advantage. However the disrespect shown by not making weight is pretty bad.
