Excuse me for my noobishness, but I've always read about elimanator fights all the time, for example Tyson Fury vs Kevin Johnson is a WBC Eliminator and Lara vs Vanes was a "WBC Final eliminator". Does this mean that Tyson if Tyson Fury beats Johnson he moves up one ranking in the WBC top ten?? And on the same tokan if Johnson won would that mean he would be in the same ranking as Fury if Fury were to win??? Can someone elaborate on this for me??? Thanks

So the Vanes vs Lara fight was to get a shot at the WBC title which is a fight with Alvarez.

Right I understand that because it was a Final eliminator... but how about regular eliminators like Fury and Johnson??? Do sanctioning bodys have regular tournaments to determine who gets title shots??

Fury was ranked number 3 by the WBC so when the number one and two contenters fight next month i think it is one of them will fight for the WBC title whoever wins that fight must fight Fury

what would have happened if johnson beat fury tho?? considering he had a much lesser rank... would he have gotten tyson's place?

I think so yea just shows how poor heavyweight boxing is at the min I think fury fought well tho he stuck to a game plan and done what he had to do
