Canelo is wide open. He didn't look good against a washed up, old, smaller fighter in Mosley.

Yeah he was also trying to fight Victor Ortiz, but ended up giving his conqueror an opportunity instead so we'll see, Josesito Lopez was just as unknown as Trout is right now, so we'll see.

It'd only be fair for Canelo to fight Trout if he's not facing Mayweather this May. Just like Josesito did, Trout earned his shot by ruining the plans of the bigger name fighter. It's not like guys like Lopez and Trout are just going to accept they are not as big of a name as Ortiz and Cotto and laydown and let them win. They're trying to become a big name too, and the only way the will do it is by fighting big names like Cotto, Canelo, Mayweather, etc.

Trout crashed the big money party fair and square, just like Lopez did and he's earned a shot at Canelo if Canelo is open.
