what a punch....

perfectly timed he must of been practicing that punch over and over because to generate that sort of power punching upwards is hard, technique must be perfect otherwise you work against your shoulder muscle. manny just got to confident if he held back a few seconds we might av seen a differnt ending as roach would of calmed him down.

Please. This is such bs- Marquez was clearly on 'roids.
Amazingly stupid comments like this is the reason I don't come to this site anymore.

It may happen now that Pacquiao isn't going to be selling PPVs in the millions against top tier but not elite caliber fighters.

Actually, Arum did pretty much exactly what I think his goal was... He milked Pac for everything he was worth in terms of restricting his opponents to in-house guys and taking 100-percent of the promotional purse. Now that the golden goose is finally worn out, he may choose to look elsewhere.

I don't really care though. I don't think a Pac/Floyd fight would be all that entertaining and it certainly wouldn't come close to matching its hype. Problem is, there isn't a ton left for either guy at this point.

Pac/JMM 5 would be infinitely more interesting and a much better, closer fight, imo. Love to see it.

Wait are you saying Pac can't hang with the big dogs anymore or won't be able to sell as much against "lesser" opponents? Trying to clarify. I might disagree with both assumptions.

pac was interviewed by our local news network and he said he was fine and ct scan results were good.

he was watching the fight and said it was a good and lucky punch that even jmm was surprised.

A 2inch punch like that isn't lucky. Freddie Roach and Marquez can both be quoted in the post fight interviews as stating that, that right straight was something they continuously worked on in training camp. It's always been Marquez best weapon against pac.

Now not to throw a little bit more gas into the pac fire, but have all of you guys saying Marquez "looked so big" looked at the official and unofficial weights?

Marquez was the smaller man at the weigh in and on fight night

Marquez weighed less than pacquiao but it was marquezs upper body which was significantly bigger and had definition, to which it didn't against mayweather. His legs were a lot thinner and that explains the weight of the two fighters.

Either way, what shocking end. Pacquiao not just stopped but out cold. He dropped like hatton. Shows you why pacquiao was more cautious in the previous encounters. It seemed like he was always relying on his straight left. The smarter fighter won. He may only have 1 win in the 4, but at least no one can disagree on who got the better of who.
What a fight.

You're obvioulsy someone that doesn't know the first thing about human physiology. Fact, You don't gain muscles and power in your late 30s. You just simply don't.

Its not as if JMM never trained before, thus, you can rationalize that "well, JMM gained all these muscles because its the first time he worked out" -

And, in the previous 36 rounds, the closets JMM got to knocking Pac down was stunning him a bit with a fury of combinations. BUT now, with JMM new powers he knocks Pacq TWICE with solo shots?? Are you f$ckin kidding me??

You don't see it? and athlete in his late 30's gains a power/muscle and he even has a freaking trainer that has admitted to supplying 'roids!!!! (Bond, Mcguire, Sosa, etc)

And noone respond with "he man, JMM never tested positive"- you can't test for this stuff. I heard Victor Conte in a podcast stating how easy it is to avoid testing positive; knowing how to cycle, and stuff that can't be traced (i.e., HGH). If you know who Conte is, then you now who Angel Heredia is.

Even the HBO commentators declared that JMM looked like "a bodybuilder"

Its a tainted win. Tainted.

Hey guys let's keep it civilized here, what an aggressive brawling type of fight... You can't ask for anything else, would I love to see them fight again? Sure, but I'd much rather see what JMM can do against Mayweather in a rematch.. Call me inquiring mind!!!
