- Andre Berto (just lost to Guerrero).
- Victor Ortiz (still recovering from broken jaw).
- Robert Guerrero (mandatory challenger, free to fight).
- Timothy Bradley (free to fight).
- JMM (free to fight, but uncertain about retirement).
- Devon Alexander (will fight Kell Brook next year).
- Paul Malignaggi (not a big name to fight Floyd).
This lefts only Guerrero, Bradley and Marquez as possible opponents.
Lightmiddle:
- Saul Alvarez (free to fight).
- Austin Trout (free to fight).
- Cornelius Bundrage (will fight Ishe Smith on february 2013).
- Vanes Martirosyan (has to fight a rematch with Lara).
- Erislandy Lara (has to fight a rematch with Martirosyan).
- Zaurbek Baysangurov (who???).
- Sergio Martinez (will fight Martin Murray on april 2013).
This lefts only Alvarez and Trout as possible opponents.

Floyd would never go on his own, what? do you actually think his company Mayweather Promotions or the money team or what ever actually do anything but be fronts for tax purposes ? Floyd may know a lot about boxing but that doesnt mean he would actually put in the time that it needs to actually help promote a fight, I think the extend of his business abilities are limited to him placing endless gambling bets, a guy with Floyd's ego only delegates, he needs other people doing the work for him, why didn't he use his own money to keep Gamboa and the other guy super middle weight what's his name, got ko by the German ? instead he just blew them off as he did his best friend cause he actually never wanted to be bothered IN THE FIRST PLACE, GAMBOA is pretty pissed off with that attitude, I bet Floyd painted and promised him the world, and then kick that poor midget, Cuban rafter to the curv...lmassoffs..

Robert Guerrero doesn't deserve anything big, even if he is fighting Floyd, a million dollars is all he's worth for a Floyd fight. But who cares, Guerrero isn't anything, Floyd is fighting the best 154 pounder.
