Is Gavin Rees a good fight for Broner?
I haven't seen any of his fights, so I'm not aware of his level or skills, his record looks quite decent so I ask you guys if Rees is a fighter who could give Broner some troubles or if Rees could actually win the match.
Or maybe this is just a tune up fight? I don't know.

No, it's not a good fight unless Broner is fighting again 2 months later, against a legitimate opponent. Rees is a solid opponent boxer but barely a c level fighter.

No. Broner needs to fight Danny Garcia or Lucas Mathysse.
Second best fighter at 135 is Ricky Burns and Broner would take him apart.

It's a very good fight for Broner when you consider everything else:
Burns and Vazquez are tied up with each other
Abril and Bogere are tied up with each other
Thats 4 of the top 10 or so guys already tied up, Broner is another of the top 10,
For me it Rees is a solid option (only Eduard Troyanovsky would have been a better choice from the possibilities of guys currently at 135). He's a former world champion (WBA at 140) and current European champion, making him a solid opponent. Yeah Broner will beat him, but Broner will beat anyone at 135 at the moment anyway.

I admit you have a point there, but let's accept it would have been much entertaining a Broner v Burns fight, which turned down because of financial issues according to many sources.

I can't argue,I'd have loved Broner v Burns (or Abril or Vazquez because they could all ask him questions) but as said, those guys are tied up. I'd rather Broner fought more often than less often and I see him moving to 140 pretty soon anyway.
Broner v Matthysse, Rios, or Garcia are all more interesting for me than Broner v Burns

Totally agreed, with Broner v Garcia getting the nod IMO.
Rios is too frontal to beat Broner IMO, but it would be very interesting if Broner's chin can hold Rios' bombs
