How Much does the Average Boxer make per event?

I'm curious as to know how much $$ boxers rake in per event in which they fight.

I know the big boys like Mayweather make around 20 million per fight.

But guys that are on the prelims on big events or up and comers that are close to gracing the main event, How much cash do they rake in?

Anybody Know.

I'm trying to compare MMA wages to Boxing wages which I know Boxing rapes MMA in terms of fighter pay.

For example the average main even fighter in MMA for example

Chuck Liddell makes $500,000 and Mayweather makes around 20 million

The average Preliminary Bout featuring a relatively unknown fighter is around

$2,000 what do boxers make?????

An average boxer makes around 8,000, ir all depends on what is an "average"... And well, it all depends on which country its happening.. in china or Korea mma fighters are better paid than boxers, some boxers turned into mma cuz of that.

Southpaw are you sure about the MMA rate. I thought that was what Liddel earned as a minimum then he got a percentage of PPV's. But no it's not near the big guys of boxing. But really there isn't that many big name guys that get more than 3 to 5 mil per fight.

Agreed the RA. I don't know the going rate, Hatton made £2,000 for his pro debut then about £3,000 a fight till he got the title fights though.

Yeah i think Randy Couture made around 4 millz for his last fight when u count sponsors and all that. But yeah i would actually think that a preliminary bout in the UFC would get much more than the guys in the normal shows.

Yea you have to look at sponsors, and other things like how they win the fight. I'm sure a ko will get them a bigger paycheck than a decision. Sponsors though are where the real money is from what I understand. You also have to consider benefits-I've read (maybe on Sherdog) that the UFC also picks up medical costs for the fighters. Paydays are usually bigger than what we think.

Floyd made $5,000 in his 5th professional fight. I'm pretty sure he was at $50K by his tenth fight.

I read that against Rampage Liddell made $750,000.

Couture and Ortiz were your big money makers for awhile and they had to be getting multi-millions per fight. Liddell has had some decent paydays also.
