It must be in my imagination he's never fought a welterweight since becoming champ too.

Gimme a break. LOL!

You gotta understand that Floyd doesn't belong to a specific weightclass. He's going where the money is. That's sad for us fans but that's the reality of the game. He doesn't care that much about being the best welterweight as long as he's the P4P king.

No he hasn't your right. Hes stepped upto 154lbs and arguably beat the best man there, then beaten the 'elite' 140lbs champion.

And the one man who he supposedly ducked was beaten easily by Williams, who has since lost to Quintana. Cotto has only been in the picture for a few months now.

The pound for pound tag doesn't give you license to duck LOL!

If that is what he was doing he'd have no beed to hold a title hostage (this is a reply to all posts above) because he has the P4P tag anyway.

He claims to be the WW champ he should act like it. He claimed he was retiring but never gave up his title either, guys full of crap.

He's hand picking and ducking the welterweights.

there's not a single doubt in my mind about this fact.

yeah he won those fights, and guess what? they were his toughest fights to date. margy has a chance to beat cotto, so i'm not surprised some think he can pull off the upset. if cotto keeps his cool like he usually does he should win by at least 3 or 4 rounds. if he loses his cool and tries to get down and dirty with margy i think the chances of him losing goes up drastically. if margy wins we'll most likely see an immediate rematch between the 2.

From what I've seen he doesn't claim to be the best WW he claims to be the best fighter period. He doesn't have the license to duck he has the license to make the most money. The WBC and the ring mag won't strip him because they know he's the best until he gets beat.
