Who's more likely to knock his opponent out with a clean shot in your opinion?

Definently Cotto. Cotto would of destroyed a shot vargas, much like mosley.

You can't really argue hypotheticals though.....

And I agree dave, Mosley is a small welterweight, he's physically strong because of the lifting weights but he's no where near the natural brute force of cotto.

99% of arguments on here are hypothetical.

Not what im saying. most things you can base off fact. You can't base mosley vs vargas and cotto vs vargas on facts. Becasue one of the fights didnt' happen.

I'm not arguing hypotheticals I'm arguing with facts. Mosley has a higher knockout rate and had 20 real KO's (as opposed to TKO's) compared to Cotto's 6. Nuff said.
As I said before it doesn't mean anything because Cotto is a great fighter but his "brute force" is a myth created by HBO. He wears guys down plain and simple.

They are at least as strong as Cotto (even though Mosley is a bigger puncher IMO). People tend to forget that Cotto wears his opponents down instead of taking them out with one shot. Gomez got stopped by the doctor. I like it as a fan because that means you can be stronger, faster and have a better chin than Cotto and he's still gonna beat you.
Being "stronger" has nothing to do with punching power. Strength is completely different than power. I don't understand that.

You mean he's "big strength wise?" That makes no sense. "Big" is a descriptive word about appearance.

Half of Mosley's opponents didn't see the KO punches coming. IMO Cotto and Mosley punch just about the same these days.

My point is Cotto faced guys who punched harder than him. Do you agree?

Absolutely. I understood most of it, but I didn't get the strength/power thing.
