Floyd doesn't care about making money in the long run. He's taking it one fight at a time because anything can happen. Right now Oscar and Ricky are the biggest cashcows around Floyd's weight. I wanna see Floyd fight Cotto more than anyone here but that's the way it is. Now if Cotto gets some impressive victories and brings in more fans then the fight is a lock. Hatton is a draw in england, I guarentee you floyd vs cotto would do a million buys and he's get his precious 20 million dollars. Puerto Rican fans are just as big as english fans. If trinidad jones can do 500k, floyd vs cotto can easily double that.
Floyd is not giving up boxing for wrestling , its just more of his talk like when he was talking about taking an mma fight on HDNET. I cant belive you guys dont see what Money May is doing. All he is doing is playing the bad guy. He talks good about MMA to piss off all boxing fans.. Then he talks about going to WWE, to piss off boxing fans. WHy? So more people will buy his fights. HE'S PLAYING THE BAD GUY! He's talking about retiring, and leaving boxing for MMA and WWE just so, when he does have a boxing match coming up people think its a blessing that he's doing 1 more fight and so we should watch it. The more stupid **** he throws out there the more he's going to be on the casual boxing fans mind. Its like Britany spears. Britany no longer can make a decent CD, BUT she is still popular cause she just does **** to make drama. I bet you she is making tons of money playing the public. And the whole Cotto thing is simple too, all he is doing is making people think that the fight isn't going to happen, and the longer he pretends its not going to happen, the bigger it is when it does happen. The longer he waits, and the more people that cry about it not happening, the more he will hold off until its a TRUE mega fight.

Cotto has beat 3 guys ranked in the top 5 since moving up, and one guy who was ranked 7 (Urkal) thats 4 top 10 fighters in just over a year.
Anyone beating 2 top fighters these days is getting them a crack at the #1 guy, that is a fact, Cotto has beat double that and his time should have been now....
I can understand the oscar rematch, for money and to shut people up purposes. but a man he knocked out and was pretty dominant against. I see no reason in that. When cotto floyd actually happens, I may find myself rooting for cotto.
