Even if Cal moves side to side...RJ isn't going to chase him...he will punish him through brutal body shots to slow him down and then pot shot him. Again RJ > Cal in the middle of the ring. He doesn't want Roy there...that's where Roy has the advantage. Watch the tarver fight series and against Glen Johnson...everytime they fought Roy in the middle he pot shotted them. But when they forced him to the ropes RJ couldn't do anything but absorb the punches. Even though Cal has footspeed and hand speed, he just needs to swarm RJ with punches and outland him because if he tactifully fights RJ...then he will lose because I don't see Cal winning any other way.

put it this way, if joe stands in front of jones, then jones will pretty much push him back. he was making tito look like a bitch, but tito was game. i am pretty much sure that if jones doesn't chase, then he won;t take the belt away. you gotta impress to take things away from the champ.
i hope i don't sound like a nuthugger, but i feel joe can box with roy. he likes to jab and then go in and out. sometimes he ups it and throws a combo. if he can do it every round, then he will look good and win the rounds. roy has the speed from a standstill, but joe has the speed in terms of swarming so i do get what you mean abotu him winning that way, yet i feel joe will respect joens power and not risk getting caught. swarming works for b and c level fighters, but not a jones. jones is good enough to connect.
in recent times, i have noticed that joe calz is more effective when he jabs and boxes, and counters people who come at him. he can't go chasing people who are a level,. i just feel it will play into their hands than his. this can be said to roy aswell. i mean roy looked ok vs tito, he did let tito come forward, but tito is abit rusty and was always in front. joe has head, body and his feet moving all the time. that's why i feel the fight will be close. it's all about tactics and who can do what.
i don;t see it as a mismatch at all. how can you when it's roy jones. plus he was injured vs tito and still won easily.
