I think Hopkins will make the fight alot less entertaining than any other Pavlik fight, he will make Kelly look bad but lose out because of his lack of workrate. He can't fight 12 rounds at anywhere near decent pace, and Pavlik is just about the worst guy he could be fighting with this in mind. He'll lose a decision IMO.

I do, sorta. according to boxrec Lopez has now been scratched from the card. that sucks badly. they've added 17-0 WBO NABO champ bantamweight Abner Mares. Steven Luevano will be defending his WBO belt against 21-0 Billy Dib. Marco Antonia Rubio will be fighting 28-4 Enrigue Ornelas. this is all that is listed right now. was looking forward to seeing Lopez.

Thats not a terrible card, Mares is a decent prospect and so is Dib, though i don't think he can beat Luevano yet.

I've heard Luevano will defend against Concepcion, Dib, or Meza-Clay. Also, Marco Antonio Rubio against Enrique Ornelas.

Sadly, it looks as though Lopez will be headlining his own card.

Mares is Golden Boy's top prospect and he is a bantamweight. I've seen 3 out of his last 4 and he is a pretty promising and well-schooled kid. Not
