I just got back into town a few hours ago from a "family"-type trip with Aaron's closest family members and friends. I was finally beginning to let everything set in and also starting to accept that he was gone the other day, and then his mom called me and asked if I would come over. She wanted me to write "a paragraph or two" about the fun times I had with Aaron, describing how I viewed him as both a friend and person. I did everything that she asked me to do, and while I was there I got sick (threw up) twice. I was in that house 4 days prior with Aaron, and on this day I had to walk by his empty room where I just was 4 days ago, knowing that he was gone. Life changing situation/experience fellas. Like I said, I just got back in the Dallas area a few hours ago and will be heading out of town again in the morning. My grandmother was getting out of the shower last night and fainted/passed out, busting her head open on the sink edge. She has blood pressure issues and is overweight which never helps. So, now I'm about to be off with my family. I just wanted to thank everyone for their condolenses and let you all know why I have and will continue to be gone for a little bit. You guys be good.

Wow, sorry I didnt see this till now my friend. I sometimes catch myself thinking about what life would be like without someone close to me around anymore and I really dont know what I'd do in a situation like that. I feel very fortunate and blessed to have been surrounded by the amazing people I have been through my 30 years and it would be very tough to get through losing someone like that. Mojo sent your way Shane, I'm truly sorry for your loss.

One of my 5 best friends died about 5 hours ago. All I know is that he was fishing with his cousin on a boat, and he fell in and was sucked under the boat. He drowned. I am so damn glad that I told Aaron that he was a cherished friend of mine and someone who I would trust with my future children. Life is fragile, and things can happen with no warning and no way of preventing them. I'm not here to preach, but if you feel something, let people know. I am thankful that I didn't avoid telling Aaron that he was important to me. That is all. Take care, and be safe fellas.
