The believer is great u should go see that movie asap.

The Machinist is just Christian Bale as its best the movie is about a man who is dying of imsomnia and he hasnt gotten any sleep for a year. Then while the movie goes on Bale starts seeing crazy things and stuff like that. Sometimes the movie is pretty wierd but it will all make sense in the end and the ending is awesome if you like Memento, Donnie Darko or even Fight Club you will like this one.

Good list i love Trainspotting thats one of the best british movies ever. The movies i dont like there are Godfather 3, Carlitos way(dont know why just never got it) and if you like the Matrix i reccomend a movie named Equilibrium with Christian Bale, awesome movie and imo better than the Matrix.

memento kicked ass as well as fight club. And I have seen The Machinist, and I agree it was pretty trippy, but a solid flick. Crazy how freaking skinny he got for that part.

Also, I highly recommend The Jacket to you if you havent seen that one yet. Another cool movie along those lines that sounds lik eits right up your alley.

Oh, and The Matrix was AMAZING. (the 1st one obviously. after that they dropped of considerably, but it was pretty groundbreaking in MANY aspects.)

I will definitely check out the Machinist. I have to disagree with you about Equilibrium being better than the Matrix. It was a good movie, but the Matrix was revolutionary and incredible. The first Matrix movie was one of the best movies ever made followed by two horrible movies that tainted the amazement that the word "Matrix" used to bring out. I really like Equilibrium, but in my opinion it doesn't measure up to the Matrix.

I forgot Sin City and V for Vendetta. When Vendetta came out I didn't go see it because about 5 different people told me it sucked. They said it was "slow." Needless to say they just didn't get the message. That is one of my alltime favorite movies. You could tell that the dudes that made it spent years thinking about it, and it was all very relative in mocking our government. Great movie.

Well maby your right but the thing was i saw The Matrix pretty late and when i finally got around to see it my friends had been talking about how AWESOME and THE BEST MOVIE EVER so i watched it with that thought in mind altough it was a great movie it didnt live up the expectations on the other hand with Equilibrium i just saw it on my dvd rent store and i noticed Christian Bale played the main role so i just got it and i was so suprised and thrilled by that movie.
