That's my least favorite genre. What's the point of a movie that's trying to scare you?

Everything. There are very few good horror movies, but when a good one is made I get really into them. I don't really get scared too often, but I love suspense. Action movies are the lamest kinds of movies to me. I like thillers, horror, and drama/suspense. About 90% of the comedies these days are terrible. The last comedy that I thought was worth buying was Superbad.

It's probably the only horror movie to ever really scare me somewhat. I haven't seen it in a few years, but I'm reading that it is as good as I thought it was. That trailer doesn't do it justice.

Im A Huge Critic Myself But When You Put Things In Perspective, Todays Movies Arent That Bad. The Problems Are Caution From Big Studios, And The Audience That They Cater To. A High Profile Movie Can Easily Lose 50 Million Depending On Its Rating, For Instance "When A Stranger Calls" If It Were Rated R And Had Actual Killing In It, It Would Have Been A Great Movie, But It Would Have Lost The Female Teenage Audience, Which Was Basically Its Entire Viewing Selection In Its Release. Most Directors Now A Days, Produce Films That Will Promise Them Work For Tomorrow, Big Studios Arent Willing To Invest In Risk Takers.

I'm reading a lot of good reviews about this movie so I might check it out. I like disturbing stuff but straight up horror is boring and pointless IMO.

I loved Event Horizon which was a mix of both.
