Muhammad Ali/Cassius Clay Signed and Framed Glove
Hey guys, I hope this isn't out of place here, but I was hoping I could get some help. I have a framed Boxing Glove that has the signatures of both Muhammad Ali and Cassius Clay, along with a couple of photos and a list of Muhammad's fight records, a small description of his career, a photo of him signing the glove and a certificate of authenticity. Some photos are linked below, the last three pictures are much better quality (excuse the dirty glass, I forgot to wipe it down beforehand). So I was wondering how much this would be worth, if anything? Thanks for any help!

Muhammad did sign a lot of gloves. He was a good guy when it came to autograph seekers.
The low figure would be $500 to $750. That's a quick guaranteed sale. Average, $1,000. And if something is really special or has a very reputable COA, up to $2,000. He did sign "aka Cassius Clay" from time to time, so that's not totally remarkable.
Depends too, on how you want to sell. You can put it on consignment in some local sport-memorabilia shop and they'll take a percentage, or throw it on eBay where you're competing with probably 100 such gloves at any given time, and eBay and Paypal take about 10 percent.

Yes he was a good guy to the ladies and autographs seekers, but he was also a prick when it came to his religious beliefs, the problem I have with this item being authentic is that once Ali renounced his Christian name ( CLAY) he would have never acknowledged any connection to it by signing his Muslin name next to it, I have to say I dont think is legit and that certificate is a fraud........the inscription of ( AKA) in between the names further re-emforces my suspicion...

Interesting how his signature changed. I've seen changes in celeb autographs...sometimes the result of old age, or just a different personality (a humble star with a scrunched signature in the 60's, then it's expansive and large in the 90's). Then you have guys like George Foreman and George Carlin, who both switched to heiroglyphics! What that means, I dunno...

I have a 24x24 pic of Ali knocking out Liston, his hands are in the air yelling "Get up ya bum" one of the most famous boxing pics ever. Muhammad signed that for me in San Antonio Tx. in 1990 To my English friend CJ Muhammad Ali.
Wouldn't part with that for the world
