Danny Devito, Kurt Russell, Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and Ryan Reynolds. Don't give a **** about their political views, I'm sure most if not all lean left. I just enjoy the stuff they're in. Kurt Russell is a bad ass and Smith, Lawrence Devito, Reynolds are funny as hell.
Female wise, I'd say actresses like Jessica Alba because she is so fine looking.
Martial arts wise, Jet Li is one of my favorite actors and Jason Statham is kind of cool too.
We're talking alive and working? In that case...none.
I can't think of a single actor who is going to propel me into a popcorn-smelling movie theater. There's not even a single one who I'd say, "Well, I'll rent this because HE is in it, and so it can't be that bad."
Closest I'd get in that category: Al Pacino. Dustin Hoffman. Jack Nicholson. All are pretty old now. They generally try to pick movies that will justify their time. I might rent a DVD without reading a review if any of them were the star. Might. But I've passed on quite a lot of their films lately.
Female? Gina Gershon when she's on. Angelina Jolie. I haven't given up on Lindsay Lohan turning out to be a good actress in good films.
There are more actors and actresses I loathe than I like. And how many films have been made that don't have either Morgan Freeman or Ben Stiller in them? Freeman's wise old man act has worn thin ("Million Dollar Baby" was the last time I could really appreciate his oh-so-folksy yet intelligent narrative styling). There's no excuse for Stiller being in front of a camera.
Robert Duvall
Morgan Freeman
Clint Eastwood
Will Smith
Brad Pitt
Will Ferrell (I don't care what anyone says, he's funny)
Angelina Jolie
Mila Kunis
Jennifer Anniston
Top stars are fine and all that but they aint zhit unless they have a good cast to back them up, for me Val Kilmer is one of those actors who can match any of those actors above, he should've gotten the oscar for this remarkable performance
