If you're saying that politics is a boring subject, I'd have to agree. People aren't very open-minded, they just post a rant against one guy or the other. They aren't expecting to change anyone's mind, and few have minds that can accept change.
Whatever party is in office, the opposition is usually strong enough to block any progress, just so they can say: "look, no progress, elect US next time..."
I don't necessarily agree with my late friend George Carlin, who refused to vote. But that's because I feel you should never ignore an opportunity to pull your lever.
(Now that my voting district's gone to a computerized deal, and no curtained booth and lever...I might become more apathetic. It depends on whether I get a better lever-pulling offer at home that day.)
