Lyricism can be judged in many ways. IMO he writes some of the most creative shitt right now.

I don't consider that lyricism at all. He is creative but sticking a bunch of punchlines together that are quite irrelevent to the hook of the song does not make him a good lyricist IMO. But if you guys like it thats you. I just would not put this guy on the level of Nas, Pac, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, LL, Kool Moe Dee, KRS, Ice Cube or even Biggie and Jay-Z. He is a little ovverrated and is a second tier rapper compared to the best.

Wayne will never be on the level of rakim, nas, 2pac, KRS, mos def, wu tang, ect... Like said above hes a punchline rapper and no punchline rapper should be at the top of anyones all time great list. Rap is so bad right now its almost making wayne look better then what he really is.

Joe Budden & Cam'Ron are on a lot of peoples lists right now. That just shows how sad rap is right now and not to mention the biased as most people have never even listend to some of the best rappers out these days. Vakill, Royce, Canibus, Masta Ace, David Ortiz, Talib, Mos Def, Joell Ortiz & more are lyrically superior then Lil Wayne but they don't get the credit because they aren't played on radio stations around the US let alone the world. They don't make the feel good hooks that Wayne makes and they don't have the beats that bump like Wayne's do. I probably wouldn't even put Wayne on my top 10 now even though I like his music.
