***Football Prediction League: Season One***

Hi guys, this is the new thread for the first season of the Football Prediction League (Football as in European Football). I've taken the advice of a few members and started it again to coincide with the start of the new Premier League season. Points system and week one picks to follow. The league will run for ten weeks. Enjoy!

Rules:
Predict the scorelines. A bit like the boxing one. 10 points for guessing the correct team winning. Then there's the scorelines. 10 Points for guessing the correct scoreline, additional 10 points (for the right team). For every goal out you are you lose one of the additional 10 points.

Example:
I predict Arsenal to beat Man U 1-0. Arsenal win 4-1. I get 10 for correct outcome. Then, out of the additional 10 for the scoreline, Arsenal score 3 more than I thought, so I lose 3 points. Man U score 1 more than I predicted so I lose another. So overall I lose 4 points off the correct scoreline, so I get 10 for predicting the correct team to win, and 6 for the scoreline. Which makes 16 points overall. OK?

Knockout Games:
An additional five points can be gained if you correctly predict the game to end in extra time in knockout games. Guess a certain team to win on pens (in knockout games), then it's 25 points full stop. Sound good? Feedback appreciated.

Bayern 3 : 1 Hamburg

Arsenal 3 : 0 WBA (a goal from Ade, Vela & Nasri , come on YOU GUNNERS!!)

Hull 1 : 2 Fulham

Rangers 2 : 0 Hearts

Man Utd 1 : 1 Newcastle (I see it being close without United having any real goal threat. Ronaldo & Rooney out and Saha is like a walking sicknote)
