tbh, this is bigger than Obama and changes he brings. this is about giving many many people, not just black but all minorities hope that anything is possible in life.
I stayed up all night, i got 4 hours sleep before work as I wanted to be able to watch history in the making. This sounds abit corny but ive always had this dream that america was the land of hopes and dreams and seeing a black man elected to the white house just proves that.
This is bigger than just america, it will have world wide effects. America and its people should be proud today that Obama will be your president. The man himself brings a freshness and a sense of realism about today and the world we live in.
You needed change,Bush has left your country in a bad bad way, not just your country but the knock on effects have been felt around the world. Given time i genuinley believe Obama can change that.
I never ever truely believed that america would elect a black president, deep down despite what the polls may have said i genuinly didnt think it was possible.I am so so glad to of been proved wrong.
this is bigger than just a new president, how anyone cant see that is beyond me.
Obama did it! I didn't think he would be elected but damn I'm happy to be wrong.
One thing though he better not **** things up or he'll be the 1st and last brother in the white house lol. And watch out for the death threats...
Like he said not every body is going to agree with all the things he's gonna do, he faces a monumemtal task up ahead and the man is only human
but I and millions other feel he's smart enough to handle the job and as far as death treats if some boidy was going to do something ,they would have done it all ready, no sir my man OBAMA is gonna be around for a long lonngg time, yes sir

I also think people who call me racist because I voted McCain are all that bright. McCain is a very very patriotic man and a very humble man as you can see in his speech last night. Not a racist bone in his body or one in mine. So again, to call me racist because I voted McCain just makes you come off as a dope. Your better than that HUGO.
Ok fine so your not a racist I appologise , it was your indifferent and ridiculing coment that got to me, so don't get so hot cause I snapped back at you, and don't worry like I said the change will come on it's good time , PEACE OK..

Thats enough Hugo. I've been nice about your petty attacks on me.
I'm happy for Obama, Sure. I hope he does bring change, but im not buying into any of it until he proves all this change he based his entire campaign on. I hope he does. But until then, its just another day in america, nothing has changed.

As a black man, I never thought I would see a day like this. I will shed many tears tonight because I know this is only the beginning to a dream. We will rise as a nation. I can feel in the soil beneath me. I know others don't feel the same but the future will tell the tale. GOD BLESS AMERICA and GOD BLESS ALL!
Congrats man.

It was a whole that more inspiring than any UK election, that's for sure.
Over the years Ive been interested in politics. I couldnt wait till I was 18 so that i could finally vote. Many Many people died so that I could have the right to vote, i try never to forget that.
Same goes for america, so many people died and suffered so that everyone in america could vote.
The fact that a black president has been elected as president is history in the making. It will be up there with times like JFk being shot, the Berlin wall coming down, 9/11, Nelson Mandela being released from jail.
Im astonished some people in America cant see that too.
I also believe this man can unite a nation, Black, White and every other race or creed. The colour of someones skin can please god one day stop being an issue. So much of that can be down to the people of america.
Its a great day in the world imo.People should appreciate just exactly has been acomplished by Obama and the American people, they have risen above their history and done what many many people seen as the impossible.
