We all have our own opinions on this and that is what makes this sport so GREAT. I have no idea what anyone on this sites background is on boxing, BUT I always listen to everyone. That is the only way you learn.
When I asked Bert Sugar how come he changed his all-time ratings, he stated because he listens to what others have to say.
Over the years, I have received countless amount of calls, letters, E-Mails from Sports Writers all over the country for information. I not only give them the information on boxing but on all sports as well. You can just "Google" my name (Henry Hascup) if you wish.
I am not saying that I know more then anyone on this site, BUT I do have a background. I am a charter member of IBRO, which started back in 1983. I have researched or worked with Herb Goldman, Bert Sugar as well as many other boxing experts and historians.
My point is that no one knows for sure how one boxer would do against another, especially from different era's. It's all up for debate and I really enjoy debating this with all of you and I have to stand by what I have stated in the past.

If you like to deal with facts you're in the wrong business. Any hypothetical matchup between fighters who have never fought is an exercise in guesses and opinions not empirical facts. Your opinion is no more valid than anyone else's and claiming your opinions are "facts" do not make them so. In order to take these disscusions beyond the hypothetical and into the realm of facts the two fighters would need to be actually put in the ring to fight it out. No other way is scientifically valid. My hypothothis isn't any less valid than yours.....unless, of course, you think only YOUR opinions are valid.

facts, as in rocky was only 5`9 and lewis was 6`5, i dont care about this if rocky was born 30 years later blah blah blah stuff.

Maybe that's because you lack the capacity to think. Such as, if you don't believe athletes haven't gotten larger in the past forty years you aren't thinking. There's a reason for it and it doesn't a fairy sprinkling magic growth powder on them. You obviously lack the capacity for dynamic thinking prefering instead static thinking that is invariably wrong. My only guess as to why involves you riding the short bus to school with the rest of the spastics. Now F*** off.

It started to get nasty when Tommy bitch boy decided to question my intelligence simply because I offered a theory than ran counter to his closed minded world view. I don't like it when things get nasty but when someone gets nasty with me I WILL finish it and he won't like it one bit.
As for Marciano it's not the height that's the key factor it's the weight. And if Tammygun thinks Lennox would be 6'5" 245 in 1950 he's smoking crack. Again, all these are exercises in speculation but try to convince Tammy of that: He made up his mind long ago and won't listen to anyone but the little voices in his head. He has to be the most closed-minded bastard I've ever run into on a boxing forum and that's saying a lot. He needs to go back to being an Administrater and leave the commentary to people who know what the f*** they're talking about. The last thing we need is another moron who confuses his opinions with facts and believes he had God-like knowledge.

Like I ******* care. I post on three other forums I don't NEED this one. Especially since it's run by an arrogant loser such as yourself. You need to go back to ******* sheep and stop pretending you know **** about boxing because it's clear you don't.
