What did you think of Tyson vs. Holyfield 1?
Out of all the fights the non-80s Mike Tyson had... although he did lose this one... I thought it was his best! I found this to be a very entertaining bout... and Mike Tyson seemed to show a little bit more of his old self from the 80s... as well as some of what he usually did when the 80s came to the end! I thought this was a very good fight... what did you all think of it? CHEERIO!!!

It was a good, but Tyson got his butt handed to him. In the begining Tyson showed some of his old self then Holyfield controled the fight after that.

I agree!
Holyfield stood up to the bully, and the bully backed down.
It showed me that Tyson lacked the heart of the Great Champions. Everytime he got hurt in a bout, he would be finished. I really can't remember him making a comeback, like Rocky did against Walcott.

He may not have made the comeback, but watch Tyson vs. Lennox Lewis and tell me Tyson didn't have heart.

Holyfield I was the first, (and sadly last), time you saw some of the great, angry warrior that he used to be.. at least for a couple of rounds anyway. Tyson just didn't have the power and speed but the worst thing I think that really made a difference was the accuracy of his punches.
And there's no doubt that Tyson often used some dirty tatics, but Holyfield in my opinion is the master and he brought his whole bag that night.
It was a really entertaining fight. I just wish Holyfield could've gotten his shot at Tyson when he first started whining about it. Tyson would have taken his head off and Holyfields body could have went back to cruiserweight.

You might be right about Tyson and Holyfield boxing earlier, BUT I still say that Tyson didn't have the heart that Ali or Marciano had. I watched every match he had, and I saw him give up in several of them.

This is true, you are correct sir. Tyson looks pretty good next to Andrew Golota though, don't he? Guts for days

I know a lot of you think of Tyson as a coward or a bully... but I don't agree! I know I'm always defending Tyson... but one thing that I've noticed people say whenever Tyson comes to mind is something like this...
"Whenever Tyson was against a good fighter... he'd lose!!!"
OKAY!
Not including James "Buster" Douglas (THE BIGGEST UPSET IN PROFESSIONAL BOXING EVER), Danny Williams and Kevin McBride... really... the only good fighters he was beaten by were Evander Holyfield (twice) and Lennox Lewis.
Also... YES... he did have a hell of a lot of heart against Lennox Lewis. How many people can say they took some of Lewis's hardest shots and didn't crumble earler on in the fight... and took him to a gallant 8 rounds? The atmosphere and build up to that fight was electric... making the fight even better. That would have to be Tyson's 2nd best fight of the non-80s Tyson era... right after Tyson/Holyfield 1.
But like I always say... Mike Tyson... he was influenced by the wrong people in a world full of corruption and greed!

Tyson didn't have heart, he might get pissed off and become a dirty fighter, but he did not have heart.

Your opinion... ALSO... if Tyson/Holyfield occurred in the 80s... Tyson would knock him out!
