Hollyfield moved to heavyweight?

Why did Evander Hollyfield move to heavyweight in his prime. I think he is light for heavyweight, he was usually between 210-220, I remember he was only 205 at one of his fight with Bowe. Why didn't he cut some muscle and dedydrate his body to make lightheavyweight? He should know how given he was on the olympic plus his manager should be able to help him with it.

First and foremost, it's terrible for fighters to cut weight that much. Had Evander done that, he'd be in even worse shape now than he's already in. Evander was a natural cruiser, but still big enough to fight at heavy. At 6'2 and with a good weight gaining frame, Evander would've had to move up anyway at some point. Obviously, given his success, Evander was not out of place at heavy and he managed to beat numerous larger heavies such as Bowe, Holmes, Foreman, and I'll even mention Valuev.

Money and Recognition. He got both, but one (recognition) took a while.
