First and foremost, it's terrible for fighters to cut weight that much. Had Evander done that, he'd be in even worse shape now than he's already in. Evander was a natural cruiser, but still big enough to fight at heavy. At 6'2 and with a good weight gaining frame, Evander would've had to move up anyway at some point. Obviously, given his success, Evander was not out of place at heavy and he managed to beat numerous larger heavies such as Bowe, Holmes, Foreman, and I'll even mention Valuev.
