[quote=tysonjones]thanks man, s video, is that the yellow plug in?[/QUOTE

No, that's the Composite video cable. The S-video cable has 5 little prongs coming from the back of the box, you'll know when you look at it. Get a flashlite and check, it should also say "S-VIDEO" right above or beneath it.

Yes, It will say S-video OUT(on the cable box, hook that up to your (S-VIDEO IN) on your dvdr. Also, make sure you do the same with the AUDIO cables,it should say ("AUDIO OUT ") From the cable box and plug them into your (AUDIO IN) On you dvdr, the colors sholud be RED &WHITE, just mathch them up

It should be there but if not...just use the YELLOW composite video cable instead.

The S_Video should be there, especially with these hidef and DVDR units. The S_video connector has a higher resolution stream so your recordings can retain the better pic, it's higher than the Yellow composite cable.

This is what should be on the back of the box for video outputs

Composite video ,The Yellow cable( The lowest for resolution )

S-video( Better than the composite and ideal for recording to dvdr)

Component Cable outputs( The RED/GREEN & BLUE ,CANNOT USE THIS FEATURE FOR RECORDING)

HDMI( The best for for digital output but cannot use for recording)

I hope this helps

I have never heard of that brand?? That is the 1st time that I have ever heard of one of these recorders not having an Svideo connection.

I have two JVC's.
