I have the DR-MX1S MODELS but if I were you...I would look into the new Pioneer's,I read all kinds of good stuff on them.

I have one setup though my Yamaha receiver ,surround sound deal, the other is setup in my office where I have all my boxing memorabilia and fight tapes and dvds, this is th the one I use the most when transferring my VHS masters .

ok ill look into a new dvd recorder and this s video output thing. Also, is there any type of blank dvd that is somehow better quality. I use maxell dvd plus r.

Maxell is good but I prefer TDK dvd-r myself.

Sure, it has always been a fact that TDK was just a little better in terms of overall quality over Maxell. I did the same thing with VHS back then .Consumer reports backed it up. The reason I use (-R) is because it is more compatible with overall dvd players. Check ebay for the deals,that's where I get all my supplies DVD's,Mailing evelopes,sleeves etc.

awesome thanks, ive used maxell dvd-r to ship to people oversea's because thats all that seems to work over there but for my convenience, i find everything in my house is compatible with dvd plus r for the most part but i will look into tdk. Let me know when you recieve tito/mayorga.
