Hi just wondering if anyone knows how I can get information as to how much something like a old film reel of the boxing match between James Braddock vs. Max Baer. It's still in it's original canisiter. Never been viewed. Not even sure if it's even worth anything but I have a original film reel that was bought from my grandfather.

What ever you do, don't sell it. If anything take it to antiques road show and have it examined there, but I'm sure it's worth some $$$.

Thank guys, for all your advices, however, I'm a female.

I haven't sold it yet. I am going to take Bill's suggestion. As soon as I have a chance I'll have the reel authenticated and priced. I love to get an idea how much it would go for. Any guesses?

Excellent Idea. A professional appraiser would also be able to give you a good idea as to the fair market value of this reel. Certainly a little more popular now after the release of the Cinderella Man movie, so if your interested in selling it, do it while the market is hot for it.
