Don't make me laugh!!

Hahaha, I was looking through the web for some betting info on the Gomez fight, I stumbled upon this sight by accident, and I have to say, you guys are hilarious!

Now, let me start by saying that I am NO fan of AK.

However, I always have bet on his fights and have made a few bob from him, as he is by far the safest bet I know of, and this is what has prompted me to write into this forum.

You guys are on here having conversations about Khan versus Gomez as though there were ANY possibility that Gomez could win this fight? OMG??? For Real???

For future reference, please let me advise all of you that AK is a total money making machine, and will be protected as such, he will be guarded as well as the Crown Jewels are, and will NEVER fight anyone who has even the remotest possibility of hurting/upsetting/stopping or even making him look bad.

The ONLY time AK will face someone of equal abilities or a fighter with the capability of actually beating him will be when he fights a FOREIGN fighter who is already a champion and ensures AK and his camp have NO ability to influence the outcome of the fight.

Anyone who sees the situation differently is kidding themselves on, and not doing the respectability of boxing any favours by buying into the farce.

I know that in real terms, AK is still a novice, but fighting shot/useless/non punching,(4% knockout records, ffs) is simply a PR exercise, designed to build up an impressive record of victories, and unfortunately, it will do just that, but when that happens, please remember the great Nigel Benn’s brilliant comment,

“They have brought another Mexican Road Sweeper over for me to fight”!

and you’ll understand what I mean.

I'll log back in tomorrow after AK destroys MG and declares that MG was a GREAT fighter etc,etc - and you can all correct me and tell me how wrong I am!!

Till then, I’m away to make a load of money from the AK experience!

I don't think you are one to talk about the "respectability of boxing" and "not buying into the farce" when you also seem to be a proud advocate of such practices as those you have described.

Hi Alshda,
Not entirely sure I am following your logic; I presume you are referring to the fact I am happy to make money from the situation.

If that is what you are referring to then I understand what you mean, but I have to say, this does not mean that I advocate the practices as you suggest, in fact it really annoys me to see boxings respectability tarnished in any way, and by betting on a sure thing is (imo) not buying into the farce.

I see my role in this is, as being similar to a weapons manufacturer during a war, I didn’t start it but have no objections to earning good money from it, hope this clears up any misunderstandings you may have about me.

Imo, Khan will be a World Champion, weather it be this year, next year or a few years from now...

I know at the minute he has not gone up against anyone of note really but i think he may get two more fights against weaker opposition to take him to 20 fights and then he will go up against the bigger stars if you will.... Hopefully this year or beginning of 2009 he will go up against nate Campbell, then we will see if Khan has what it takes, imo he does have it.....

how silly you will look when khan fights for a world title one day. it will be sooner than the later. he is hungry to be a world champ like all boxers, and he will get his shot. he is already trying to find a us trainer and as his contract with frank may be near it's end, i am sure he will get frank to give him a title shot.

i agree on the fact he is a money making machine, but frank is not a promoter that is known to put his best, with the world's best. so if there is any blame, which i feel there is, it isn't with khan. he may not be good as he thinks he is etc but he does ask for the big fights. the kid obviously has ambition.

Sorry but I don’t believe I will look silly at all.

you see, I know for a "fact" AK will fight for a world title.

Now be it sooner or later, either way it makes no difference to what I am saying (have already said in my other post) which is, that until that fight takes place, AK will not get into the same ring/arena/hotel/city/country? as any other fighter that could possibly expose/hurt/or beat him.

Now, whether you choose to blame AK or his management or whoever is up to you, but if he was anywhere near as genuinely hungry and ambitious as you believe, then it follows that he must realise that fighting the no-hopers he is at present, is simply a numbers exercise and therefore he must be compliant.

Incidentally, fighting for a world title is not the same thing as winning one, and we will see what happens when AK meets a genuine opponent, remember what happened to Naseem Hamed when he met his first viable opponent.

Coincidently, that opponent (MAB) was a much smaller man than NH was, just like MG will be tonight, but it has to be said that MG is a long way from being a MAB.
