At least Calzaghe was comparable in age. Pavlik is much younger, is hard to permanently put down with a lucky flurry, and Hopkins is now even older than he was against Calzaghe. I don't see how he stands a chance.

Hopkins is a wily vet who still has a gallon or so left in his tank but he's clearly on his last leg and on his way out, but Kelly is a young, hungry warrior just entering his prime who presses the action and has serious power. Some say it's not one punch power, but I tend to disagree. His workrate will put Hopkins' economic output to shame and I think with the constant pressure he will do the unthinkable and break down the defensive wizard's defenses. I think Kelly will be stronger at light heavy and I don't believe he will lose any velocity on his punches. He's also quickly improving defensively. I believe Hopkins will not only be knocked down for the first time in ages, but out for the first time in his career. An appropriate execution of the old man and his career.

Bernard Hopkins winning by a brutal KO.............nah just kidding . I say Hopkins by a close decision or maybe SD. But I won't be surprised if it went the other way. I don't see a KO happening though.

Just kidding, there both the same. Seriously, the calzaghe fight gave an indication that even though Bhop is one of hte greatest fighters who ever graced the ring, and for the longest time possible beat the effects of time and the deficits of old age, he cannot put up the type of offense to stop Pavlik. Bhop won't get any uglier in this fight, b/c his head isn't gonna get hit, but he won't win.

I like Pavlik in this one, I would have loved to see a 5-10 younger B-hop against him though.

I'm hoping for Bhop to KO Pavlik in the first. I know it happen though lol. I think that Bhop will KO Pavlik by the 10th round.
