Mayweather owes $6 million to the IRS, who he's trying to fend off with the money from this next payday. All this crap he's saying that he misses boxing is bullshit, he just got sucked into another series of fights because of his financial blunders. Thats what he gets for buying $500,000 chains, shoes, shirts, shades. He doesn't have a waterfall of cash.
Plus, as Brian Kenny put it, if he's the true P4P or the best welterweight why doesn't he go fight Shane Mosley instead of Marquez? He would get more money fighting Mosley since Mosley's the more marketable fighter and hes a true welterweight.
And since Mayweather said in one of his gallant interviews, "I would sent Pacman the midget back to the Philippines",why not fight him right away?
My point, Mayweather has an overwhelming fear of defeat and therefore takes no risk, causing him to find fights with smaller fighters for meager amounts. He cant stand up to high-risk high-reward situations.
Like or dislike Floyd, everytime he steps in the ring it's showtime. The matchmaking however gives reason to believe the FM camp doesn't want to take any unnecessary risk, no offence at JMM but he's not a true welterweight no...Mosley should get a chance at FM after his win over Margarito.

That was a great but short interview on the subject. Kenny didn't pull any punches and actually challenged the "logic" behind this matchup. None of the other commentators ever stand up to some of the bs, Teddy Atlas does..recommending that state boxing commissions investigate judges for their scoring errors. I liked that FloMo got pissed.
PS:I think JMM has a better chance than Ricky had...
yeah I like JMM's chances better than Hatton's in the time... But I must say, that isnt saying much isnt it?
at least we'll get to see who's gonna meet Pacman (I'd guess) down the road. Marquez, to settle their unfinished business, or Mayweather in a bigmoney showdown.

Other than a payday, I don't get this fight. JMM will get out slicked and look the worse for it. It won't bring a fight with Pac any closer, apparently May has been offered a fight before.
It may just bring the whole..."I just beat JMM who shoulda got a decision against Pac, I have nothing to prove blah blah blah" publicity vehicle.
For JMM, he must be getting a huge payday. Good for him but He'll go up, what 7-10lbs, vs. a superb boxer. Not good for him.
.
well let`s see if maywheather jr can beat jm marquez,jm marquez is a very good boxer and i hope that marquez beat floyd big mouth mayweather jr
Floyd will only pray on the weak. Unless he's fighting a well established fan based fighter, the world would'nt watch his fights. And I do believe Sugar Shane would have a very good chande at beating him. He only beat Oscar by a lousy point. Shane is much stronger ,and honestly, I don't think even Cotto could beat'em on rematch!
