This should make for an interesting fight. Victor Cayo has a few flaws that could cost him this fight. First flaw that I see is that his defense is plain and simple 'weak' and needs a lot of improvement. He leaves himself 'too' open and that could be a big mistake against a fighter like Diaz. Second flaw is that Cayo tends to get a little careless when in the inside and I suspect it's because he can take a punch. Also, at times he likes to get a little flashy which is really unnecessary. I would also like to add that he would do better if he used his reach advantage a little more.
Now, as to who I see winning this fight and why?
I pick Victor Cayo by a slight UD. Diaz is a hell of a fighter but his work rate is 'weak'. If anyone saw the Juan Diaz Vs Julio Diaz knows what I'm talking about. Cayo's work rate is way (in my opinion) above Diaz's and that should be the determining factor as both fighters have very good chins. Well, there you have it. That's what I see happening.
