I heard and saw on boxrec.com that this fight was suppose to take place..

Anyone know if this is for sure yet?
If it is, I think it will be a great boxing match as Mayweather Jr. is the best pound for pound boxer right now, but there could be a possible upset as Baldomir has been fighting very well in the last 5-6 years..
I thought Teddy Atlas hit the nail on the head when he said that Baldomir is very well rounded. He doesnt do anything amazing, but he does everything well. The thing that has impressed me most about Baldomir, is his toughness. He has got a great chin, and it seems he is always coming forward. That being said, he wont defeat Mayweather if indeed, he does fight him. Floyd is just too quick, and too hard to land any really clean punches on. I would watch the fight though, and agree that it would be an interesting bout.
It DOES say that the bout is scheduled for november 4 of this year, but it doesnt say where yet.

I think Mayweathers wins also. Might be an okay fight but Floyd is way to fast for Baldomir. I dont think Mayweather can Ko him unless its like a stopage on cuts etc.
Wonder what kinda money they are getting if it does happen. Mayweather suposedly passed up 8 million to fight Margarito. And unless Baldomir is getting a huge payday I think he would have been better off fighting another top guy that he matches up with better.
i like mayweather but in reality hi is a Duck just like jones was when he was the top dog.

mayweather passed on magarito and 8 Mil because he doesn't want to lose.
he might take this fight because he thinks he could win.

if it goes 12 rounds no matter who really wins mayweather gets the W and thats writing in stone.
i hope floyd gets tired from the runing he will be doing in the first 4-5 rounds then stops and fights.
i would like baldomir to win by TKO 12th with 1 minute to go.
I don't think anyone has a chance of winning against the FLOYD unless they make the decision to pound him in the body, on the arms, lowblows, etc. If he's able to guerilla warfare his opponent-no way in hell can anyone right now match him. Carlos B. has been very tough: Gatti was a smaller man with a lighter pop on his punch for the weightclass. Judah should have fought smart in their match up but was too headstrong. the FLOYD will win but I would love to see someone (CB) light him up on this one.
The interesting thing about this series of events is what will happen to Carlos if he scores a KO or a decision (I agree that the FLOYD will win any decision).
BTW, Roy Jones was the thriller for the decade. THe gentlemen was wrong in his assessment of how brilliant a fighter RJ was in his prime. At 35, reflexes get slow and that's what happened against GJohnson and 2XTarver.
I think Mayweather is gonna fights Spinks next, its an easier fight with less risk & maybe even better money.
Baldomir has a better chin than Spinks & better power than Spinks I think Mayweather will take Spinks next.
The last fight against the russian was not impressive. Spinks ran after winning the first 6-7. He didn't seem to have the gas after the earlier rounds. I was hoping that he would've gotten decked in the last 2 but it didn't happen.

but would love to see him take on the best not just talk about it, then say we couldn't agree on a 90-10 purse split like he has done in the past. that is BS.
