Hatton's heart is second to none period. The chin statement is funny, because Hatton has taken big shots from Zoo without being shaken.. Cotto has been shaken by the lesser hitters. Cotto may have similiar heart but you cant better Hatton's. Cotto is stronger at 147, but in a p4p sense i think Hatton is stronger. Hatton's wins over Zoo and JLC were very good wins, and whether you like him or not hes a world class fighter in the same league as Cotto.. and could very well beat him.
I like both fighters. Think they are awsome but no doubt about it Hattons better.

Hatton walks through punches without really being shaken. Both wicked body punchers but i think the angles hatton can deliver them in with are better than cottos. I think cotto is very good at welter (better than hatton) but at 140 he would get bullied and knocked out. 147 is a much more even fight if hatton fought the way he did against collazo but still id defo put money on hatton beating him at either weight.
We realy dont know how good hatton is at welter because he was fighting such a tricky fellow in collazo. Put him in with cotto and he wins by KO or TKO
Ill first start by saying cotto is better than hatton and would beat him at any weight.
That said, hatton has a better chin, weaker stomach though. Hatton is more aggressive but doesnt hit as hard. Cotto has about as big of heart as ive ever seen and seems inferior to pain, never seen him hurt ( as in pain ). I have seen hatton hurt but hardly ever wobbled or anything like that. its a good comparison but i'd say they are equal on paper but cotto would definently pull through with the victory, it'll happen some day and mark my word.
i didnt say it did, but he hasnt lost , and has overcame way more adversity than hatton to do so.
Yes against lower class fighters than hattons fought. Hattons fought better oposition than cotto and never realy been shook up part from a maggee knockdown and the collazo fight. Every step up cotto makes he seems to get more and more stunned. He has a good chin in sticking in there and geting throught the round hes troubled but IMO shouldnt have to go throught that punishment.
Dont get me wrong i like the guy alot but theres something im not too keen about tbh and im not sure what it is.
I see the first 4 rounds being very even alot of clinching mainly by ricky roughing cotto up. Both of them landing there fair share.
Rounds 5-6 Hattons tieing cotto up throughing mainly body shots, clinching, body shots, clinching all the time cotto counting with nice shots. Somewhere in the fight hatton lands a nice hook to the body that takes the air out of cotto. I could also see ricky geting off the canvas aswell though. I could see this going the distance and Hatton due to clinching and throughing more leather geting a close decision . I take my words back if i said hatton wins by KO but if a hook landed like in the castilo fight its over.
cotto takesx a better body shot than hatton. hatton hasnt fought the bigger NAMES.......old guys, but their names look good on hattons record. Cotto has fought a bunch of young undefeated hungry fighters who didnt have a name but were damn good in the ameteurs and some still only have that one loss on their record. So i wouldtn compare their records that much, they have fought equally good opponents.
