September P4P Rankings

1. Manny Pacquaio
2. Juan Manuel Marquez
3. Joe Calzaghe
4. Kelly Pavlik
5. Cristian Mijares
6. Israel Vasquez
7. Antonio Margarito
8. Miguel Cotto
9. Rafael Marquez
10.Bernard Hopkins

Pacquiao has the top spot only because he got the official decision over Juan Manuel Marquez. If not for that, Marquez would be on top, because I had him winning their rematch.

I feel that Calzaghe is on the decline, but until he is beaten, I can't exclude him from the top P4P fighter argument.

I left B-Hop out of my last set of rankings, but after watching his bout with Calzaghe again and scoring it 114-113 in his favor this time, I had to include him. Keeping in mind that he has legitimate claims to have won both fights against Jermain Taylor and hasn't clearly lost since Roy Jones, it only makes sense that he stays up here until Kelly Pavlik puts him out to pasture for good.

As much as I respect and appreciate Ivan Calderon, I saw fit to leave him off this time around because of the fact that he's in a division that's deprived of meaningful fights and his complete and utter lack of power handicaps him to an unsafe extent from moving up in weight.

In my case, I guess it's because I see him as the one who can potentially accomplish the biggest and most noteworthy things. I wouldn't have a problem with them being ranked differently, though. Vasquez and Margy are two of my favorite fighters. If this were a pound-for-pound toughest man in the world list, they'd easily be tied at the top.

Hey Nate. Do you mind calculating the points this month? Cuz I'll have a really busy schedule for the next couple of weeks so I wont be able to... Keep the same scoring system.
